At Carmi Remedy’sRx we offer this highly specialized essential diagnostic service. 24 Hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) is the gold standard for the initial diagnosis of hypertension, neurogenic orthostatic hypotension (nOH), and is widely used to provide accurate direction for drug dosing adjustment.
We have state of the art, compact, portable blood pressure machines and companion software through Spacelabs Healthcare. These highly sensitive machines include sensors that track movement (actigraphy) and correlate this to BP readings. Our consults consist of a set up session with calibration of the machine as well as a follow up review with a trained pharmacist.
A review of the Hypertension Canada Guidelines is often conducted in conjunction with the test results . Patients are offered a physical or digital copy of the report, and a fax copy is sent to the physician after the consult is completed.
